Temple Isaiah

Bikur Cholim

Bikur Cholim (Visiting the Sick)
a component of Hineini: The Temple Isaiah Caring Community

Offering compassion, companionship, and the mitzvah of loving kindness, Temple Isaiah's Bikur Cholim (Visiting the Sick) Committee members visit, call, or send cards to congregants who are hospitalized, in a recuperative or long-term care facility, ill at home, or homebound. Visits are made only with the permission of the individual and are kept appropriately short. Confidentiality is maintained at all times. Opportunities to help (personal mitzvot) are as varied as the individuals who perform them. To make a request, contact one of our clergy by email or phone or call co-chairs Debbie Wengrovitz at 978-371-2616 and Esther Isenberg at 781-861-1455. You can email our co-chairs at bikurcholim@templeisaiah.net.
