Founded over twenty years ago, the LIJS is the fruit of a longstanding collaboration between Temples Emunah and Isaiah. LIJS provides classes in Jewish history, the Bible, sacred Jewish text and Judaic culture and is open to the entire community regardless of affiliation. Courses meet one evening per week, with the offerings in the fall and spring.
The Fall 2009 offering is entitled The Era of Modernity and Judaism: How the Modern World From the French Revolution On Impacted Judaism, and will be presented by Rabbi Gilbert S. Rosenthal. It will be held on October 7, 14, 21, 28, and November 4 and 18 at Temple Emunah. Click here for complete details, along with a registration form.
