8th - 12th grade students are encouraged to participate in Temple Isaiah’s Madrichim Program (teen aide program). madrichim serve as teachers aides in the classroom, as well as Hebrew and trope aides in various grades. According to Abraham Joshua Heschel, “What we need more than anything else is not more text books but textpeople. It is the personality of the teacher that the pupils read; the text they will never forget.” Our madrichim are incredible textpeople for our young students. As aides , our teens are challenged to become role models while also developing their teaching and leadership skills.
