Instructor: Sigalit Davis

In this class, we will capture the faces, voices, and issues in Israeli society through Israeli films. Who are the people, what were their hopes, what are their narratives, how has Israel changed over the decades, and how do we perceive it all? Film clips will be shown and discussed in class. There is some flexibility to allow additional movie clips at your request and there will be plenty of time for questions. Please join us!

Sigalit Davis teaches Hebrew language, literature and Israeli culture at Northeastern University’s World Languages Center and Middlesex Community College’s World Language Institute. Previously, she spent fourteen years training Rabbis, Cantors and Jewish Educators at Hebrew College. She continues to be a beloved teacher of Ivrit la Kol (Hebrew Literacy) at Temples Emunah and Isaiah.
