Can you tell which one of these individuals might have a mental health condition?

This free eight-hour course teaches adults who interact with adolescents (ages 12 - 18) about the unique risk factors and warning signs of common mental health problems in adolescents. These including anxiety, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, substance abuse, and disruptive behavior disorders. Participants will gain an understanding of the importance of early intervention, develop a strong awareness of the mental health challenges facing youth in our community, and gain greater confidence in their ability to approach and assist young people developing signs of a mental health challenge, substance use, or emotional crisis.

This program is offered by Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services and will be facilitated by its Executive Director Christine Mawry and is sponsored by the Temple Isaiah Mental Health Initiative

Please note that full eight-hour attendance is required for certification.

Please contact Fran Detweiler for more information or to reserve your place. Class size is limited to 30.

A half-hour lunch break will be provided. Please feel free to bring food and drinks.
