The Other as Mirror: Jewish and Arab Voices

Back by popular demand, Rachel Korazim will again deepen our understanding of Israeli society through the lens of literature. She will discuss “The Other as Mirror,” exploring the images of Arabs in Israel, looking at both Jewish and Arab literary works.

Dr. Korazim teaches at the Shalom Hartman Institute, where Rabbi Jaffe studies in the summer, and elsewhere. A lively teacher, she has a unique ability to bring both Israel and poetry alive, even to people who aren’t fans. As she says, “don’t just talk about Israel; let its poetry talk to you.”
