Tot Shabbat Service and Shabbat Club

Friday, September 8, 2017 17 Elul 5777

5:45 PM - 7:30 PM

Tot Shabbat services are family-friendly Shabbat services for families with children under 6 that are led by our clergy Rabbi Howard Jaffe, Cantor Lisa Doob, and Rabbi Jill Perlman, and Rabbi Amy Hertz, Director of Congregational Learning. Tot Shabbat services last about 30 minutes and  include candle lighting, giving tzedakah, an age-appropriate Shabbat service, and lots of singing! After services, we join together for Shabbat table blessings, a complimentary family-friendly dinner and Oneg (dessert), arts and crafts activities, a play space for our youngest guests, and the opportunity to meet other families with young children. No RSVP is required.

Shabbat Club is a new Shabbat service, specifically designed for 1st-4th grade students and their families. Together, we will enjoy an age-appropriate Shabbat experience with special kid friendly prayer books and learning the prayers in Hebrew! We will sit in chairs in the chapel and have the chance to learn about the weekly Torah portion in a family-friendly way. We will join together with our Tot Shabbat friends for a family dinner after the service.
