From late July through the month of August we’ll be taking a deep look into the Haftarot of Consolation, the traditional Haftarah portions that lead up to Rosh Hashanah. These Haftarah portions from the Book of Isaiah contain beautiful words of comfort and hope, as relevant to the difficult circumstances of the original authors and listeners as to us today.

The portion for this week will be Isaiah 51:12 - 52:12.
