Join us for a special screening of MOOS, a charming romantic comedy set in Amsterdam’s Jewish community. Moos’s life is all about taking care of her widowed father and working in the family textile business.  When her childhood friend Sam visits her from Israel, he encourages her to follow her dream of attending theater school.  In her quest to find her unique voice, Moos’s story is one of complicated family relationships, romantic entanglements, and the importance of friendships, told with warmth and humor.

Jaymie Saks, Executive Director of the Boston Jewish Film Festival, will introduce MOOS and lead a discussion after the film.  She will also give us a first look at the 2017 BJFF with several sneak previews of films from the 2017 lineup.

Ms. Saks joined the Boston Jewish Film Festival in 2009 and has served as Executive Director since 2011. She is a native of Lexington.
