Deepening Lives, Inspiring Purpose, Together

Welcome! We are excited that you are interested in joining the Temple Isaiah community!

Who We Are

We have grown to be a congregation of 875 households because our members have found Temple Isaiah to be a Jewish community that brings value to their lives, offers meaningful personal connections with others, and inspires them to be part of a greater Jewish world. We invite you to get to know our community.

An Inclusive Community

Temple Isaiah is a warm, caring, and inclusive community in which we can each use our unique gifts and offerings. We strive to be an accessible congregation, welcoming those with physical and learning disabilities as well as mental health challenges. We cherish our diversity and we intentionally welcome all who wish to participate in our Jewish community: families, singles, couples, with and without children; people of all sexual orientation and gender identity or expression; Jews by birth and by choice, interfaith families and partners, and those wishing to learn more about Judaism.

Membership includes the individual (and spouse, if married), children and dependent adults residing with a member family. We are strongly committed to our long-standing policy that no one is refused membership because of inability to pay. Requests for special arrangements are treated confidentially.

Membership in Temple Isaiah brings with it numerous benefits. These include :

  • The ability to participate in a wide variety of adult learning  and engagement programs
  • Access to our religious school program for children from kindergarten through high school, including our Tichon Isaiah and LEFTY programs for teens
  • Attendance at High Holy Day services
  • Opportunities to participate in the governance of the Temple
  • Engagement with our clergy, who are available for life cycle events as well as for everyday counsel
  • Eligibility for discounts at Jewish summer camps
  • Participation in Mitzvah Day, a congregation-wide day of community service, as well as ongoing social action projects with the Temple

Membership Committee

It is important to us to help prospective members learn about our congregation and who we are as a community. Equally important is helping our new members feel welcomed and helping them get involved and engaged in temple life. There are so many ways to get involved in the religious, social, educational, and social-action activities at Temple Isaiah. If you are a prospective or new (or newer) member and would like our help, please reach out to us!
