We are filled with gratitude for what Rabbi Jaffe has built during his 21-year tenure here at Temple Isaiah. We celebrate the welcoming and inclusive culture he has fostered. Rabbi Jaffe will leave us with organization-wide strength, a distinguished religious school, excellent programming for adults, a strong volunteer culture, and a generous community that has supported Temple Isaiah whenever asked.

Howard Jaffe’s legacy at Temple Isaiah is the community he helped us build. His leadership, passion for serving our congregation, and commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere is now woven into the fabric of our synagogue. In his honor, it is up to us to sustain this culture while we plan for the next phase of our congregation’s growth.

We Embark Together on a Transformational Campaign for

Learning, Community, & Future

Our goal for this campaign is to raise at least $8 million in outright gifts and pledges fulfilled over as many as five years, with an aspirational goal of $10 million. This bold campaign will only be possible with strong faith, dedicated leaders, and broad engagement of the congregation.

Learning

Life-long learning is a cornerstone of Temple Isaiah. We are a vibrant community where every congregant can find ways to continue their Jewish journeys by studying Torah, discovering how text informs everyday life, expanding knowledge of Jewish cultural life, learning or relearning Hebrew and so much more. Learning is also a key gateway for our non-Jewish members to feel welcome and connected to Temple Isaiah. It serves as the key to how we pass Judaism from generation to generation.

By investing in learning, your gift will support educational programs that span the generations, providing a robust curriculum and excellent teachers for all.

Community

Whether through music or special programs, we seek a meaningful connection to Judaism and to each other. When we experience the energy of shared tradition, we heighten our understanding of what it means to be a Jew in the modern world, and we strengthen our connections to one another.

Our congregational home is our anchor in a rapidly changing world. It provides a central base for reaching into our many neighborhoods to build community through innovative media, robust communication, and expanded use of our indoor and outdoor spaces. To stay connected, we must invest in both technology and infrastructure.

Music, so central to our Jewish cultural and worship experience, is a powerful tool for inspiring us in nearly every aspect of community engagement. From Shabbat to school, from simcha to study, we enrich and energize our experiences through music.

Your investment in our community will help support Temple Isaiah in delivery high quality programs that build on Jewish values for members to connect, learn, and explore.

Future

Temple Isaiah is committed to eliminating financial barriers that may keep people from joining our congregation. Our doors are open to all. A strong endowment provides a sound financial foundation for our future endeavors and ensures flexibility tomorrow.

Your continued support of our endowment will enable us to implement the vision created by the new Shaping Our Future initiative, reinforce our commitment to inclusion by welcoming members who can't afford the full annual financial contribution, and empower our Board to respond to our rapidly changing environment by providing access to current use funds.
