ABOUT THE RACE
Get a running start to celebrating Temple Isaiah's 60th Anniversary and join us for Temple Isaiah's Moving Forward Together 5K, and 1K Fun Run for beginner and elite runners alike and all those who want to have fun. Race day festivities feature community T’fillah, Jewish music, celebration picnic, Zumba, apples & honey tasting, trivia, NEW kids sock collection for Cradles 2 Crayons, and more!

All proceeds from the 5k will help support the Isaiah Fund for a year of engagement and celebration! 

SCHEDULE
8:15 - 9:15am – Registration Open
8:45 - 9:15am - T'fillah - Start the morning with a meaningful and spirited T'fillah with our Temple educators, clergy and joyful Jewish music
9:30 am – Walkers begin & Pre-race warm-up and stretch for runners
10:00 am – 5K Race
11:00 am – 1K Fun Run
11:00 am – Zumba
11:00 am – 12:30 pm Lunch
11:45 am – 5K Award Ceremony

- Stretch your bodies and brains with Hebrew-through-Movement

- Take a turn at some 1950s trivia – all questions will be from Temple Isaiah’s founding year 1959!

START/FINISH
Registration and bag check at Temple Isaiah. The race will start and finish on Lincoln Field. Celebration picnic, Zumba and awards at Temple Isaiah.

COURSE INFORMATION
5K Race - walkers start at 9:30am and runners start at 10:00 am 
The relatively flat course on crushed stone path goes along the paths of Lincoln Field, Baskin Road, down past Bridge School and the Old Res, down Middleby Road back to Lincoln Field. Volunteers call out mile splits. There are three mayim (water) stations on the course.  Awards will be presented to the overall top 3 male and female winners as well as first place male and female finishers in the following divisions: Age 12 & under, 13-19 years old, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Limited bag check will be provided to 5K participants. For the safety of participants and in adherence to USATF insurance guidelines, strollers, bicycles, inline skates, skateboards and dogs are not permitted. 

Family 1K Fun Run - starts at 11:00am
1K run for anyone who signs up along the path of Lincoln Field. Registration is required. Please note that children under 12 will need adult supervision if the parents/guardians are running the 5K Race as we do not have staff assigned to supervise the children. For the safety of participants and in adherence to USATF insurance guidelines, strollers, bicycles, inline skates, skateboards and dogs are not permitted.

RUNNER AMENITIES

- Ruach (spirit) Award: prizes for the runner with the most spirit

INCLEMENT WEATHER
This is a rain or shine event, however, race management have the authority to cancel the event for emergency purposes such as, but not limited to, severe inclement weather to ensure public safety. If such emergency conditions force cancellation, the event entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferable as funds will have been spent in preparation for the event.
