We are honored to participate in the meaningful milestones in your life.
Jewish tradition provides a guide to mark the unique passages that make up our human experience. From birth and coming of age to marriage and beyond, Temple Isaiah is here to support and guide you through the meaningful moments at all stages of your life.
Birth
Temple Isaiah celebrates the birth of every new child and helps families to create meaningful moments in the first years of life. Our clergy help create personalized experiences for you and your family that include brit milah (ritual circumcision), baby namings, and special family blessings. Non-members and familes of all backgrounds are encouraged to reach out for more information.
B'Mitzvah
B'Mitzvah is a significant milestone symbolizing the transition into adulthood within the Jewish community. Our thoughtful team of educators and rabbis work closely with families to prepare each B'Mitzvah student and personalize the experience, encouraging students to explore their Jewish identity. It is a beautiful and meaningful moment for students and their families, as well as the entire Isaiah community.
Confirmation
Confirmation is an important rite of passage as our youth continue along their journey into adulthood and take on greater responsibility in Jewish life and in their community. Our students are called upon to come before their families, their congregation, and God to reaffirm their commitment to Jewish life and community.
Marriage
Marriage is a sacred and joyous occasion marking the union and commitment of two individuals building a meaningful life together. Our clergy work closely with couples to help them plan and prepare not only for their personalized wedding day, but for the marriage that follows. We are honored to be part of each couple's journey as they begin an exciting new chapter in their lives. Our clergy are available to officiate weddings held onsite at Temple Isaiah and offsite at another venue.
Conversion
Conversion to Judaism has existed since biblical times as a deeply personal and transformative journey that involves embracing Jewish values, traditions, and beliefs. In addition to working regularly with a clergy mentor, we provide information, classes, and a network of friends for those who choose to convert in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Death and Bereavement
At times of great sadness, the Temple Isaiah community strives to offer support and help facilitate the rituals, demands, and challenges of the funeral and mourning period. Our clergy will stand with you as you grieve, assisting with the funeral, shiva gathering, and commemorating the annual death of a loved one.
