Briley Newell

Briley moved to Massachusetts with her partner (and her many, many houseplants) in 2019 to join Temple Isaiah’s full-time education staff. She studied History and Hebrew at Emory University, and has been working as a Jewish educator, in roles from songleader to classroom teacher, since 2015. Her work at Temple Isaiah focuses on T'fillah Education, whether in the classroom teaching Prayer Meaning to 6th graders, in the sanctuary leading T'fillah services for grades 3 - 7 throughout the week, or on Zoom for Prayer Practice tutoring. She also teaches 5th grade and high school classes, directs SMALLY, and supports LEFTY.
