Challah for Hunger

Challah for Hunger is a monthly gathering of teens who are eager to engage in meaningful conversation rooted in Jewish teachings and Midrashim (stories) while learning about the Jewish tradition of baking challah. Teens, guided by educators and clergy, will learn how to make dough, braid, and bake challah. These loaves will be sold to the broader Temple Isaiah community with all proceeds being donated to the fight to end hunger locally and nationally. In addition to baking challah, teens will engage in conversations about Jewish identity, adulthood, values, and our responsibility to others. Challah for Hunger, sponsored by MAZON, will act as an extension of the wonderful work our teens do each year at the MAZON Dinner. Learn more about Challah for Hunger here.
