About Rabbi Smith

Jodi shares with the Temple Isaiah community many talents and professional accomplishments; she is an innovative and effective leader with a varied career having served as the School Rabbi at the Rashi School, in Dedham, MA and the Rabbi of Temple Chayai Shalom in Easton, MA. She graduated from Washington University with a degree in Comparative Religion and received a master’s in Hebrew Literature and Rabbinic Ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. 

In her role as the Director of Congregational Engagement, Jodi helps to build relationships within the congregation, believing that relationships are the building blocks to community and a sense of belonging. She works with various programming groups such as PrimeTIme (empty nesters), boomers, seniors, Sisterhood, and Brotherhood to bring welcoming and inclusive programs to the congregation as well as various committees to create procedures and policies that align with our mission and values. She also partners with the Communications Manager and Logistics and Events Coordinator to make sure all the offerings of the congregation are shared far and wide and executed with expertise.
