About Sara

Sara comes to Temple Isaiah with a background in counseling (both of the clinical social work and camp variety), which has allowed her to hone her skills and love for connection, relationship building, and planning fun events for kids and families. Prior to coming to Temple Isaiah, Sara worked as a clinician and supervisor at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network where she joined alongside families to offer in-home, family, and individual therapy, as well as support and connection to resources. Sara also has a lifelong love for summer camp and over the past 20 years has worked as a Counselor, Sports and Ropes Course Specialist, Adventures Director, and Staff Support Clinician at Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake and Running Brook Camps. Her interest in family programming grew from her own experience participating in activities with her three young children. She graduated from Ithaca College with a degree in Sociology and received a master’s in Social Work from Boston College.

In her role as Director of Families with Young Children, Sara helps build relationships and offers opportunities of Jewish engagement for families with children from birth through 2nd grade. These opportunities include onsite events and holiday programming, as well as community based meet-ups in surrounding neighborhoods. Sara also oversees our Mishpacha: Family together learning. She is very excited to meet families and continue to develop programming around their interests.
