Endowment & Named Funds and  Annual Fund at Temple Isaiah

Endowment Fund

An endowment fund is a long-term investment fund, kept in perpetuity where the interest earnings from the principal investment provide regular operating support for a specific project for the benefit of the organization.

At Temple Isaiah, our permanent unrestricted endowment fund is named L'Dor VaDor. The fund is currently at $10.8M, with the aim of drawing 4-6% annually for to support the operating budget. Our goal is to raise $20M as part of our Securing Our Future campaign to help provide increased financial stability for Isaiah. Named endowment funds are designated to support specific types of projects or programs at Isaiah.

Named Funds & Annual Fund

Named Funds and the Annual Fund provide more immediate support each fiscal year. The entirety of funds noted as current use are designated to support the Temple's $2.9M annual budget.

At Temple Isaiah, our unrestricted annual fund is named the Isaiah Fund. Designated or named annual funds are those that support specific causes, programs, or projects, and are considered budget-relieving funds.
