Below are answers to common questions about how to get the help you need at Temple Isaiah. But remember, you can also always call the main number at 781-862-7160, and our office staff will direct you to the person you need.
 

I would like to meet with Rabbi Thomashow, Rabbi Battis, or Cantor Doob. How do I set that up?
Our clergy are supported by fabulous administrative assistants who can help set up those meetings for you.

I have a question about the Religious School. Who do I call?
The following Education Professionals can help with specific questions to their grade level and curriculum area:

• Sara Berkowitz is the Director of Families with Young Children and can be reached at sberkowitz@templeisaiah.net. She also runs the Mishpacha program.

• Jennie Goldfarb is the Director of Jewish Family Journeys K-12. She can be reached at jgoldfarb@templeisaiah.net. Jennie oversees the 5th - 7th grade religious school experience, as well as coordinating the B'Mitzvah process. Jennie will focus on the connections of families over the lifecycle from starting religious school through high school graduation.

• Alex Bennett works in the teen program and can be reached at abennett@templeisaiah.net. They oversees Tichon, Moving Traditions, and LEFTY.

• Briley Newell is the Youth and T'fillah Educator and can be reached at bnewell@templeisaiah.net. She oversees the junior youth group SMALLY, LGBTQ+ youth group QUEERY, and prayer experiences for youth.

• Rebecca Winters is the Director of Inclusion (K-12) and Program Development (K-4) and can be reached at inclusion@templeisaiah.net. Rebecca oversees K-4th grade religious school experience, Teen Madrichim program, and all aspects of religious school inclusion.

Debbie Marty is the School Registrar & Administrative Assistant to Rabbi Hertz and to the Religious School, and she can answer your administrative questions. She can be reached at dmarty@templeisaiah.net.

Rabbi Amy Hertz is the Director of Congregational Learning, and she oversees the Religious School. She can be reached at ahertz@templeisaiah.net.


How can I reach temple staff when they are working in-person or at home?
The temple is open from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday, and 9 am to 2 pm on Friday. There is always someone in the office during business hours, but some staff do work remotely on certain days. They can still be reached by calling the main number, 781-862-7160, or by email.

Before and after hours, calls are routed to an answering service.
