Temple Isaiah welcomes Families with Young Children to join us on a journey of making friends, building community, learning about Judaism, and family fun! Temple membership is not required for Families with Young Children programming. All those seeking connection to a Jewish community are invited to share and explore these experiences together, regardless of temple membership.

Immersive theatrical Shabbat experience for children ages 0-5!

Temple Isaiah is proud to be partnering with the K’ilu Company to bring Ark Adventures to the Boston area in the Fall of 2025

Ark Adventures sparks Jewish discovery in early childhood through immersive theater and imaginative play. Bringing this theatrical Shabbat experience to Temple Isaiah (as well as Temple Shalom of Newton), Ark Adventures transforms Shabbat into a multi-sensory journey using live music, puppetry and theatrical design.

Tot Shabbat & Shabbat Club

Each lively Tot Shabbat service includes candle lighting, an age-appropriate Shabbat service, and lots of singing! Services last about 30 minutes and are appropriate for families with children ages 0 - 5 (older siblings are welcome).

At the same time there is also a joyful Shabbat Club service, specifically designed for students in K-5th grade. Special kid-friendly prayer books are used, and children have the chance to learn about prayers and Shabbat in a family-friendly way.

After the services, everyone joins together for a free family dinner, crafts, play, and a chance to meet other local families with children. Typically held on the first Friday of each month at 5:45 pm.
