Madrichim Program (Teen Teaching Guides)
The Hebrew term madrichim means "guides." As a classroom guide, our teens serve as role models and helpers for our students in Grades K-5. Responsibilities include making all students feel welcome and included, classroom set up and clean up, supporting the teacher and classroom activities, and growing personal skills. Madrichim receive ongoing training throughout the school year to grow in this role.
Madrichim can be any teen in grades 8-12. Rebecca Winters will work with each teen to find the right setting for them!
Roles available:
- Sunday Religious School, for grades K-6 (in either early or late session).
- Wednesday Religious School, for grades 3-5 (4:00-5:30pm).
- Wednesday madrichim will assist students in our electives (e.g. drumming, book club, community, dance, etc.).
- Families with Young Children Programs: Tot Shabbat/Shabbat Club, Mishpacha (5 Sundays/year), and other young children's programs throughout the year.
- Music madrichim: Teens who sing or play piano, guitar, or percussion are encouraged to sign up as music madrichim to assist in T'fillah (prayer time) and song leading. Role are available during any of the options listed above.
