Moving Traditions (Gender based small groups)

Rosh Hodesh

Rosh Hodesh (new month) is a value-based and experiential Jewish program for self-identifying girls that strengthens self-esteem and Jewish identity. Rosh Hodesh meets girls where they are and draws on Jewish teachings and traditions to keep girls healthy and whole—despite the aspects of popular culture that encourage risky behaviors.

Shevet

Shevet (brotherhood) is a program for self identifying boys aimed at helping them navigate the issues of masculinity in their lives and give them Jewish guidance, both spiritual and ethical, regarding what it means to be a mensch, or good human being. More specifically, Shevet offers boys enjoyable activities while creating a safe space and enables them to engage in meaningful discussion.

Moving Traditions is held one a month on Sunday afternoons. For more information on Moving Traditions, and for nonbinary, trans, gender expansive, and LGBTQ+ groups visit MovingTraditions.org.
