About Rabbi Craig

Life as Teen Educator is Rabbi Craig’s “back to the future” moment. He first forged his most original, enduring, and authentic calling as rabbi early on as a Jewish summer camp counselor, inspiring a safe, welcoming, and inclusive youth community. Isaiah brings him back to this formative, soulful, and thankful place, and he feels both renewed and energized by this sacred opportunity to sustain our youth experience and help our blossoming adults flourish.

In his role as Teen Educator, Rabbi Craig oversees the plethora of opportunities for teens at Temple Isaiah, namely Tichon Isaiah, LEFTY, and Moving Traditions. His goal is to weave these into a vibrant, integrated, and meaningful tapestry of teen engagement. Rabbi Craig also works to expand and strengthen participation in synagogue life following B’Mitzvah and builds alliances with external teen agencies. Perhaps most importantly in his work, he mentors the Temple Isaiah blossoming adults in building a safe, welcoming, and inclusive community. One that champions their unique contributions; gives life to their ongoing commitments to social justice, lifelong learning, and intergenerational/interfaith fellowship; and organizes them in concert with our shared mission: to foster deeply-connecting, inspiring, purpose-filled experiences at Temple Isaiah.
