Tichon (Tuesday Night Learning)

Tichon, our Tuesday Night Learning program, is a structured, educator-led, weekly teen program that operates as part of the Temple Isaiah Religious School and is open to Jewish teens in Grades 8-12. Tuesday Night Learning helps Jewish teens develop personal Jewish identity in a multi-modal, relationship-based community learning environment so that they have a strong sense of peoplehood, see the world with a Jewish perspective, and continue on their Jewish journeys. Teens also enjoy having personal choice of topics and areas of exploration guided by master teachers, including Temple Isaiah's clergy and educators.

Tichon classes run from 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm. Each trimester, teens choose a curated and diverse offering of electives.  The evening includes a Lilah Tov Circle from 7:30 pm - 7:45 pm, followed by an Oneg Social that concludes at 8:00 pm.

Prior to the Tichon classes, all teens are encouraged to attend the Makom community dinner from 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm.
