Zoom Call Assistance
As we are attempting to provide more opportunities for gathering and learning by videoconferencing, we are utilizing the Zoom platform to a greater extent than ever before. We have a number of Isaiah members who are prepared to assist those who are unfamiliar with this particular program, and all you need do is contact our temple president, Barry Tuber, president@templeisaiah.net , and he will connect you with an appropriate volunteer.
Speaking of which…
Our first Congregational Torah study by Zoom took place this afternoon, and the reviews are quite positive! About 40 of us gathered on two different platforms (we were able to make it available via Facebook Live as well as Zoom, and hope to use that platform as much as possible in the future, as well). Stay tuned for more learning and simply gathering opportunities!
Freezer Available
There is a family in our congregation that has a brand-new, fully functional small chest freezer available for someone who might especially benefit from owning it. It arrived dented, and the company that sent it does not want it back (the family later received one that was not dented). Especially knowing that there are those who are stocking up on frozen items, and particularly those who are in one or more of the high risk categories, they would like to find an appropriate home for it. Please note that if you are in a position to comfortably purchase such a freezer yourself, it would likely be better for you to do so, so that this particular freezer my go to the home of someone for whom such a purchase would be more of a challenge.
If you are interested in receiving that freezer, please be in touch with me directly. The family that currently owns it is even willing to deliver it.
