Like the rest of the world, Israel has faced this unprecedented pandemic. Current numbers seem to show that Israel has been especially successful at fighting the pandemic. What can this success be attributed to? What were the challenges along the way? How has Israel's incredibly unstable political situation influenced this response?

The guest speaker, Dan Illouz, is a city council member in Jerusalem. A human rights lawyer by trade, Illouz is also former legislative adviser to the Likud faction in the Knesset. He previously served in a legal capacity at the Foreign Ministry and serves as an Officer (in reserves) advising the IDF on international law issues. He is a graduate of McGill University Law School and Hebrew University's Master program in public policy. Dan was born and raised in Canada and made Aliyah to Jerusalem in 2009. Illouz published two books and has been mentioned in the Jerusalem Post, Yediot Aharonot, Israel Hayom, i24news, France 2, The Times of Israel, The Toronto Star, and La Presse, among other local and international media outlets. Illouz is an acclaimed speaker with vast experience speaking to groups in North America, Europe, and Israel.
